Patch 4.8 Banner Lineups
As per the latest, nothing has changed with the 4.8 banner lineups. According to the info from trusted source Hxg Diluc, the updated lineup for patch 4.8 is:
- First phase: Nilou and Navia
- Second phase: Emilie and Yelan
Sadly, this will make it the 12th patch for Shenhe without a rerun. There’s no detail about the Chronicle Wish banner for 4.8, and now we are starting to believe that there will not be one in patch 4.8 either. This might be good news depending on personal preferences, especially if you want to save Primogems for the new region.
Patch 5.0: Introduction to Natlan
After version 4.8, we will be introduced to the pyro region of Natlan with patch 5.0, as there will not be a patch 4.9. In Natlan, we will access pyro abilities for the Traveler, giving everyone a free 5-star pyro character. We hope Hoyoverse gives them a decent kit this time around.
As per the latest info by Foul and other sources, Hoyoverse is expected to release three new characters in version 5.0:
- Five-star male Dendro Claymore user
- Five-star female Hydro Catalyst user
- Four-star female Geo Polearm user, likely Iansan
Version 5.0 will also kick off Archon reruns, with Zhongli expected to be the first. Given that Shenhe and Wriothesley didn’t get reruns in Fontaine patches, we hope one of them might appear in version 5.0.
Patch 5.1 and Beyond
In patch 5.1, everyone expects the new 5-star character, likely Xbalanque, to debut. However, according to the latest info, Xbalanque probably won’t be released in version 5.1, so he’s now expected in version 5.3 or later, after the release of the Pyro Archon in version 5.2.
Additionally, a tall female support character with a Geo vision is rumored to become playable during the initial patches of the Natlan region. Now we know that one new 5-star will be released in version 5.1 and 5.2 each, therefore it is highly probable that the new Geo female character might appear here. If Hoyoverse maintains their pattern of back-to-back Archon reruns, Venti is likely to get a rerun in patch 5.1. Now this is based on our gut feeling and is not from any source, but we believe Tartaglia might also sneak a rerun during the initial phases of a new region.
In 5.2, the younger or medium-height version of the Pyro Archon might become playable. According to leaks, she could fit both on- and off-field DPS roles and is expected to be a must-pull. The Pyro Archon is described as an extroverted, enthusiastic character with a role connected to redemption or salvation. She will likely be accompanied by Raiden Shogun in patch 5.2.
Future Character Releases
In patch 5.3, we might witness the arrival of Xbalanque. He will have a master-apprentice relationship with the current Pyro Archon and might turn out to be the previous Pyro Archon.
Just yesterday, the playability of a younger version of Madam Ping was confirmed. She might become playable during the next Lantern Rite festival, which will be around version 5.4. It is rumored that her weapon will work exceptionally well on Xiao, confirming her as a polearm user. Nahida could get a rerun in either 5.3 or 5.4.
We are also supposed to encounter Capitano and Columbina during the Natlan Arc, with Columbina becoming playable, but most likely in later 5.x patches.
