HoYoverse’s latest update introduces a furry, muscular character whose physics have fans in a frenzy.
HoYoverse, the powerhouse behind Genshin Impact, has always been known for its detailed character designs and, let’s be honest, extreme jiggle physics. From the early days of Genshin Impact to Honkai: Star Rail, the developers have pushed the boundaries of in-game character movement. But their latest action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), might just take the cake – or rather, the pudding.
The recently released Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 update brought with it the Waifei Peninsula, a new area bustling with fresh faces. Among them is Komano Manato, a character who has quickly become the internet’s new obsession. Introduced in an early Season 2 quest, Komano is a tall Thiren – one of ZZZ’s animal-human hybrids, seemingly a dog or wolf type. What’s got everyone talking? His undeniably massive, jiggling pecs.
The Rise of the “Husband Collectors”
It’s no secret that a significant portion of gacha game communities, particularly those from HoYoverse, are always on the lookout for compelling male characters. For a long time, the focus has been on “waifu pandering,” leading to a perceived drought of playable male characters, especially those with more diverse body types. Fans of male characters, often dubbed “husband collectors,” have been vocal about their desire for more fan service.
While Honkai: Star Rail has made strides with a commendable roster of attractive male characters, and Genshin Impact has its share of powerful men, the latter has been in a bit of a “dude dry spell.” Many of its male models are often described as “frail” or “twiggy,” a stark contrast to Komano’s physique.
Komano Manato: A New Era for ZZZ’s Male Roster
Zenless Zone Zero already features some well-built male characters like Lycaon and Lighter, and even literal bears such as Big Ben and the new 2.0 character Pan Yinyu. However, Komano Manato stands out. Although not yet playable, his striking design strongly suggests he’s destined for the gacha banner.
He’s built like a bus in a leather jacket, with arms wider than some characters’ waists, and thinly dressed underneath. What’s more, rigorous “scientific testing” by the fanbase has confirmed it: Komano Manato boasts the most prominent jiggle physics among the male characters in ZZZ. And yes, for those wondering, even firm, muscular chests do jiggle and squish!
In a game where nearly every character is sexualized to some degree, Komano’s design fits right in. It maintains a consistent tone, with many characters openly embracing their sexiness. But Komano, with his “pudding-like” pecs, has clearly found his audience, and the “starving husband collectors” are declaring a resounding victory.
