Version 2.1: Confirmed Debuts and Highly Anticipated Reruns

The first phase of Version 2.1 is set to introduce Yuzua, an S-rank physical support character. She brings a unique twist to combat with her adorable, chaotic raccoon partner, reminiscent of Lucy’s boar but with an even cuter, more lively presence. Yuzua summons this raccoon to aid in battle, adding continuous damage over time. Given her early drip marketing, she’s expected to headline the Phase 1 banner.

For reruns, prepare for the return of Miyabi! She’s finally making a comeback after her initial debut in Version 1.4, offering another chance for those who missed her the first time around.

Moving into Phase 2, we’ll see the arrival of Alice, a physical Anomaly character. Her gameplay is all about stylish slashes and burst-heavy attacks, marking her as the first Anomaly/C character in the game. Alongside Alice, Evelyn is finally getting her rerun, a welcome sight for players who’ve been waiting since Version 1.5.

While Yuzua and Alice are officially confirmed, the reruns for Miyabi and Evelyn are almost certainly locked in based on current beta information.

Version 2.2: Summer Vibes and New Powerhouses

Get ready for some serious summer fun in Version 2.2! This update will bring two free event skins for Belle and Wise, mirroring the free proxy skins we saw in 2.0. Additionally, the shop will feature new swimsuit skins for Alice and Yuzua, perfect for those who love collecting summer-themed cosmetics.

As for new characters, prepare to meet Orpheus, the striking orange-haired dragon girl with a literal tail cannon. She’s expected to be a flashy S-rank character. We’re also getting Seed, a new female S-rank who is described as a 40-year-old weapon designer. While her gameplay specifics are still under wraps, she’s anticipated to be a tanky powerhouse. And don’t forget Kamano Manado (formerly codenamed Norino), who will join as an A-rank character. You’ll actually encounter him as a trial unit in 2.1 before his banner drops in 2.2.

For reruns, Yanagi is finally making her long-awaited return after being absent since her 1.4 debut. Trigger is also expected to make an appearance. Both characters have recent ties to in-game events, making their reruns likely.

Version 2.3: Long-Awaited Debuts and Faction Hints

While solid confirmations are still pending for Version 2.3, hints strongly suggest that Lucia will finally join the playable roster as an S-rank character. She’s been featured in trailers since launch and her model has been spotted multiple times, making 2.3 a probable window for her debut.

We also have Monica from the Stars of LRA faction. Currently an NPC, information points to her becoming playable soon, possibly as another S-rank in 2.3.

Version 2.4: Introducing a New Face from the Aaron Faction

Version 2.4 is expected to spotlight Jiao – not the Anemo character you might be thinking of, but the adorable bunny girl from the reveal trailer! She’s a new character hailing from the Aaron faction, and while her design is already public, her kit remains a mystery.

Version 2.5: Speculative Reruns and a Brand New Faction!

Now, a quick heads-up: the information for Version 2.5 is largely speculative, based on discussions from Chinese forums and Discord.

For banners, while nothing is confirmed, Hoyoverse’s past patterns suggest we’ll see reruns for older S-ranks. The top three names being circulated are Ellen, Juan, and Chingi. All of them predated Version 1.5 and haven’t had a rerun yet. Ellen especially has been a highly requested return since her impactful story arc in Version 1.5.

But that’s not all! There’s also talk of a brand new faction joining the game in 2.5: the Angels of Delusion. They’ve already appeared in the story, and there’s a strong possibility that they might finally become playable. We could potentially see a new S-rank from this group, possibly an Anomaly or Support, along with a matching A-rank, which could significantly shake up the current meta and open up new team compositions.
