Zenless Zone Zero: Your Ultimate F2P Pull Guide for 2.0 Phase 2 & 2.1 Phase 1!

Get ready, Proxies! With the second phase of Zenless Zone Zero’s 2.0 update officially live and the highly anticipated 2.1 summer update just around the corner, now is the perfect time to strategize your pulls. We’re looking at a staggering nearly 100 free pulls across these two patches, a welcome boost for any free-to-play player! Let’s break down exactly how many Polychromes and pulls you can expect to earn.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 Phase 2: What’s Left to Grab?

The Juufu banner is here, marking the second half of 2.0, and there are still plenty of resources to collect before the patch concludes around July 17, 2025.

  • Daily Missions: With 15 days remaining in 2.0’s second phase, consistently completing your dailies will net you an easy 900 Polychromes.
  • Weekly Errands: Don’t forget your weekly tasks, adding another 140 Polychromes to your stash.
  • Resets Galore: The Deadly Assault will see multiple resets, and Shield Defense has one more reset before the patch ends. Fully clearing these will provide approximately 1,400 Polychromes.
  • Bounty Commissions: For those who diligently complete their bounty commissions, another 480 Polychromes await.
  • Story & Agent Stories: Completing DJ Fufu’s Agent Story and the remaining 2.0 story content will reward around 600 Polychromes.
  • New In-Game Events:
    • A special anniversary login bonus offers a free 10-pull.
    • The Operation Yum event, which just started on June 27th, is confirmed to give 300 Polychromes.
  • Livestream Codes: Keep an eye out for the upcoming 2.1 livestream! These typically provide 300 Polychromes via redeemable codes.
  • Miscellaneous: Don’t overlook scratch cards and achievement trials, which can add another 150 Polychromes.
  • Shop Reset: On July 1st, the in-game shop is expected to reset, allowing you to acquire 5 standard and 5 limited pulls.

Total for 2.0 Phase 2:

Accumulate all these, and you’re looking at a grand total of 6,670 Polychromes and 5 Standard Pulls. This is a significant amount, especially considering the major anniversary events largely occurred in 2.0’s first phase.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.1 Phase 1: The Summer Update Begins!

The highly anticipated 2.1 update, featuring the S-rank character Yuzaha, is expected to kick off around July 16, 2025. Here’s what you can expect in its first phase:

  • Daily Missions: Over the 21 days of Phase 1, consistent dailies will grant you 1,260 Polychromes.
  • Weekly Errands: Another 180 Polychromes from your weekly tasks.
  • Login Bonuses: Similar to 2.0, we’re getting two separate login events for 2.1, each providing a free 10-pull. While these might be split across Phase 1 and Phase 2, for the purpose of this total, we’ll consider the potential for 20 pulls within the update.
  • Resets: Expect more resets for Shield Defense and Deadly Assault, providing an estimated 1,400 Polychromes.

Total for 2.1 Phase 1 (Initial Calculation):

From currently available information, you can expect to secure approximately 6,000 Polychromes in the first phase of 2.1.

Grand Total: Your F2P Pulls Until 2.1 Phase 1

Combining the remaining pulls from 2.0 Phase 2 and the estimated pulls from 2.1 Phase 1, you’re looking at a minimum of 14,000 Polychromes completely free-to-play between now and the end of 2.1 Phase 1. This doesn’t even account for the 5 Standard Pulls from the 2.0 shop reset!

Important Note: The confirmed events for 2.1 currently include the two login bonuses providing 20 pulls. However, developers often add more events and rewards as the update draws closer. Keep an eye out for official announcements and the 2.1 livestream for potential additional Polychromes.

Looking Ahead to the Summer Update and Beyond

The 2.1 summer update promises much more than just pulls, including:

  • New beach locations
  • Free summer skins
  • Free proxies
  • Paid summer skins for S-rank characters like Yuzaha and Alice (expected in 2.1 Phase 2)

This consistent influx of rewards and content is a positive sign for Zenless Zone Zero, especially after a period where pull counts felt a bit leaner. The game seems to be regaining momentum, offering a much more generous experience for its player base.

What are your thoughts on the current reward count? Are you content, or do you believe Zenless Zone Zero should offer even more events and pulls?
