Honkai: Star Rail 3.3 Memory of Chaos Buff Leak: Major Changes Incoming

Honkai: Star Rail leaks have revealed new details about the upcoming Memory of Chaos buff in Version 3.3, hinting at significant changes to endgame gameplay. The Memory Turbulence for this cycle introduces a powerful damage boost, but it comes with a key restriction that could impact team-building strategies.

Version 3.3 Memory of Chaos Buff Details

A recent leak from HomDGCat teases the new Memory Turbulence effect coming in Version 3.3’s cycle of Memory of Chaos. This special buff will grant additional True DMG to the first character in a player’s team lineup at the start of each cycle. However, the buff notably excludes Memosprites, which means Remembrance characters will not benefit from this bonus.

Here’s how the buff works:

  • Memory Turbulence Effect: At the end of every cycle, the first character in the team lineup receives Blessing of Floral Candles and Skyborne Feathers for several turns.
  • Blessing of Floral Candles and Skyborne Feathers: Each instance of DMG dealt will also apply extra True DMG based on a percentage of the original DMG.
  • Exclusion of Memosprites: This suggests that Remembrance characters relying on Memosprites will be weaker in this cycle.

How This Affects Gameplay

The exclusion of Memosprites could discourage players from using Remembrance characters in Version 3.3’s Memory of Chaos. This is particularly surprising since HoYoverse has been introducing multiple Remembrance units recently, including:

  • Remembrance Trailblazer (Version 3.1)
  • Other Remembrance characters in Amphoreus
  • Castorice, an upcoming Remembrance character expected to release soon

Despite these new additions, the Memory Turbulence buff favors other damage dealers who can take advantage of the extra True DMG, shifting the meta for this update.

When Will Version 3.3 Release?

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.3 is currently expected to launch in mid-May. Players should start preparing their teams for this new Memory of Chaos cycle by focusing on non-Remembrance DPS characters who can fully utilize the True DMG boost.
