Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 leaks: Ju fufu & Pan Yinhu Kit Breakdown

Hey there, fellow Proxies! Excitement is buzzing in New Eridu as the Version 2.0 beta for Zenless Zone Zero has officially dropped! We’ve finally gotten a deep dive into the kits of two of the three highly anticipated new characters. Get ready to strategize, because we’re breaking down everything you need to know about the fiery limited S-rank Stunner, Jufu, and the steadfast A-rank Physical Defense specialist, Pan Yinhu.

Keep in mind, Agents, that all the information we’re about to explore comes from the initial beta phase. As with any beta, expect adjustments and refinements in future updates. Consider this your early tactical briefing!

Jufu: Igniting the Battlefield

This limited S-rank Fire Stunner is set to blaze onto the scene in the second phase of the 2.0 update. Let’s dissect her explosive kit:

Basic Attack: Slashing Parade

Jufu unleashes a sequence of up to four swift slashes, dealing a mix of Physical and Fire damage. The third hit stands out, granting increased interruption resistance and reduced damage taken. Cleverly timed holds or pauses during the third hit allow for a seamless transition into the powerful fourth strike.

But Jufu isn’t alone! Her quirky companion, Popcorn Pot, joins the fray, automatically launching Fire damage attacks on its own during combat. These pot-shots generate Heat, accumulating 20 points per hit up to a maximum of 200.

Skill/Special Attack:

  • Popcorn Slam (Normal): Jufu executes a spinning slash followed by a forceful slam, dealing significant Fire damage.
  • Pot Power Smash (Enhanced): Unleashing a joint heavy strike with Popcorn Pot, this enhanced version delivers even greater Fire damage. Using this skill grants Jufu a burst of 80 Heat and two Heat Spin points.

Core Passive: Blazing Burn

This is where Jufu’s synergy with Popcorn Pot truly shines. When Jufu uses Popcorn Pot’s skills, the pot remains on the battlefield, autonomously attacking enemies and continuously generating Heat with each hit.

Here’s the kicker: if Jufu is off-field and her Heat gauge is at 100 points or higher, Popcorn Pot triggers an Open Pot Chain Attack against nearby enemies! This also bestows the Fired Up effect on all allies, boosting their Crit Damage by 34% and Ultimate Damage by 15%. While Fired Up, Jufu herself gains 24 points of Impact. Furthermore, if her base Attack stat is 2,800 or higher, every additional point of Attack increases her Impact by 0.06, potentially granting up to 36 bonus Impact. The Fired Up effect lasts for 20 seconds and refreshes upon reactivation.

Additional Ability: Team Beats

A straightforward but powerful team buff, this ability increases the maximum Decibel of all Attack and Rupture-type party members by a substantial 3500 points if they are present in the party.

Chain Attack & Ultimate:

  • Chain Attack: Jufu tags out, and Popcorn Pot takes center stage, delivering a hefty Fire damage attack. If Jufu’s Heat is at least 100 points, the Open Pot Chain Attack automatically follows up, adding another significant hit of Fire damage.
  • Ultimate: Popcorn Pot slams down with immense force not once, but twice, dealing massive Fire damage. Activating her Ultimate also grants Jufu 100 Heat and four precious Heat Spin points.

Heat Spin & Special Dash Attack: Highspeed Rotation

These Heat Spin points fuel Jufu’s unique dash attack. After performing a standard dash attack, holding the evade button puts Jufu into a spinning state. While spinning, she can move freely, dealing Physical damage to any enemies she contacts.

If Jufu has any Heat Spin points when initiating Highspeed Rotation, one point is consumed per enemy hit. In this empowered state, the spin attack deals Fire damage instead, and Jufu gains 40 Heat per enemy struck. Up to a maximum of 10 Heat Spin points can be stored at any given time.

Another way to accumulate Heat Spin points is through the Assist Follow-up, granting one point every 10 seconds upon use.

Jufu’s W-Engine:

  • Increases the damage value of the user’s enhanced skill, chain attack, and ultimate by 28%.
  • Upon activating a chain attack or ultimate, the entire team’s damage is boosted by 10%, stacking up to two times with each stack’s 12-second duration calculated independently.

Jufu’s Mindscapes:

  • M1: Immediately grants 100 Heat upon entering battle. Additionally, when Jufu’s chain attack hits an enemy, it applies the Overheat effect, causing all allies to ignore 14% of the enemy’s All-Type Resistance.
  • M2: Extends the effect of Jufu’s Additional Ability to the entire party. Furthermore, when any ally uses their ultimate, Jufu recovers 5,000 Heat, and her next Open Pot Chain Attack is guaranteed to critically hit and deals increased damage value.
  • M4: Restores one Heat Spin point and grants 300 Attack for 20 seconds when triggering a Pursuit Assist after finishing an Open Pot Attack.
  • M6: Allows the third hit of Jufu’s basic attack to hit an enemy up to 10 times and applies the Wound effect for 15 seconds, increasing Jufu’s damage against them by 20% and guaranteeing critical hits. Additionally, the fourth hit of her basic attack against a wounded enemy inflicts an extra Fire damage hit equal to 25% of her Attack per strike.

Pan Yinhu: The Unbreakable Shield

Joining the fray in the first phase of the 2.0 update, Pan Yinhu is an A-rank Physical Defense unit ready to fortify your team. Let’s examine his defensive prowess:

Basic Attack:

Pan Yinhu delivers up to four consecutive hits, dealing pure Physical damage. If he has three points of Chief Force, the fourth hit consumes all stacks to trigger a Quick Assist.

Skill/Special Attack:

  • Firecracker (Normal): A straightforward attack dealing standard Physical damage.
  • Iron Shoulder Strike (Normal – Enhanced): Activated by holding the skill button when Pan Yinhu has Chief Force or after the third hit of the enhanced skill. This attack deals Physical damage, consumes one Chief Force point, and triggers a Quick Assist on hit. It becomes enhanced when Pan Yinhu has maximum Chief Force.
  • Acupoint Strike (Enhanced): This multi-hitting skill performs up to three strikes, each building Chief Force.

Core Passive:

When Pan Yinhu hits an enemy with his Iron Shoulder Strike, all allies entering the field via Quick Assist gain a Penetration buff equal to 15% of Pan Yinhu’s Attack for 15 seconds. Consuming three points of Chief Force boosts this buff to a significant 30% of his Attack. A maximum of 450 points of Penetration can be gained through this passive.

Additional Ability:

If the party includes a Rupture-type Agent or a teammate from the same faction, hitting an enemy with Acupoint Strike inflicts Vulnerability, causing all damage sources to deal 10% more damage to the target. The first, second, and third hits of Acupoint Strike grant 5, 10, and 15 seconds of Vulnerability, respectively, with each stack’s duration being refreshable.

Chain Attack & Ultimate:

  • Chain Attack: A direct attack dealing a high amount of Physical damage to the target.
  • Ultimate: Pan Yinhu unleashes a powerful blow, dealing significant Physical damage and simultaneously healing the entire team for 200 HP plus 1% of their maximum HP instantly, with the healing effect lasting for 10 seconds.

Pan Yinhu’s W-Engine:

  • Increases the damage of his enhanced special attack and ultimate by 25%.
  • Whenever any character on the team takes damage or recovers HP, Pan Yinhu recovers 2 Energy points. This effect can be triggered once every 5 seconds.

Pan Yinhu’s Mindscapes:

  • M1: Grants one Chief Force point when triggering an Assist Follow-up. Additionally, hitting an enemy also triggers the previous teammate’s Quick Assist.
  • M2: Increases Pan Yinhu’s Energy recovery rate by a certain percentage. Furthermore, when Pan Yinhu is off-field and has sufficient Energy, he will automatically cast Acupoint Strike until his Energy is depleted or he gains three points of Chief Force.
  • M4: Increases the HP recovery bonus of his ultimate by a certain percentage. Additionally, casting his ultimate grants three Delicious Snack stacks. Any teammate who takes damage will then consume a snack to heal themselves by a certain percentage of their HP.
  • M6: Simply increases the team’s damage dealt to vulnerable enemies by a certain percentage.
